Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a site. This page sets out exactly what the ALKAYAN site uses and what each one is for.
We do not use advertising cookies
This site carries no advertising and uses no cookies to build an advertising profile of you or to track you across other sites. What we use is limited to what the site needs to function, plus aggregate measurement of how pages perform.
Cookies required for the site to work
These cannot be disabled, because the site does not work correctly without them:
- alkayan_csrf — a cross-site request forgery token, ensuring the quotation form was submitted from this site rather than an external page. It lasts two hours.
- alkayan-theme — your dark or light theme preference. Stored in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to our servers.
- alkayan_attribution — the campaign parameters you arrived with, held for your browsing session only so they accompany your request if you send one. Cleared when you close the browser.
Analytics cookies
Where Google Analytics is enabled on the site, it sets cookies to measure visit counts, most-viewed pages and traffic sources. We use this data in aggregate to improve the site, with IP anonymisation enabled.
We may also use Microsoft Clarity to understand usability problems such as dead clicks and difficulty navigating on mobile. The purpose is improving the experience, not identifying visitors.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings, usually under privacy or site data.
Blocking the required cookies will stop the quotation form working, because the security token check cannot complete. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on your use of the site.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this page if the tools we use change. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
